About Our Company

Sumitomo Chemical America, Inc. (SCAI) is the Regional Headquarters for the Americas, supporting group companies across both continents. We collaborate with scientists, sales teams, and employees at our Group Companies, which reflect the diverse sectors of our parent company. Core Principles

Our credo states “Our businesses must benefit society at large, not just our own interests.” Jiri-Rita Koushi-Ichinyo reminds us that business must benefit ourselves (jiri) while also serving the nation and society (rita). This teaching emphasizes the importance of maintaining harmony between the interests of a business and those of the public (koushi-ichinyo).
