Sumitomo Chemical Advanced Technologies (SCAT) was established in 2003 as Sumika Electronic Materials, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Chemical Co. Ltd., and chartered to serve the USA electronics, semiconductor, energy, and other IT-related industries. In 2017 we changed our name to Sumitomo Chemical Advanced Technologies.
SCAT manufactures customized epitaxial wafers using proprietary Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition processes and also specializes in the grinding of engineering plastic resins and additives for the aerospace industry. SCAT’s other products and services include photoresist and high purity wet chemicals, polarizing film, optical sheet, polymer LED and OLED displays, Lithium Battery Separators, High Purity hydrated Al, and LCP and PES engineering plastic resins as well as resorcinol and Penacolite® Compounding Resins.
